What is a design brief?
The word design is defined in various ways by designers and depending on which field you are in, however, in simple terms design means to create. For example, a person creating graphics would be called a graphic designer and a person creating websites would be called a website designer. The word brief is self-explanatory, it means in short. The designer will request a short explanation or summary of information.
In Khabo Designs case, a design brief is information required from the potential client by the designer. The information should include the following: Name of company/organization, services or products it offers, industry, look and feel (style) required, sharing of suggestions, visions, or expectations. It is possible to give the designer just the name of the company/organization and summarize what you do, and the rest you can leave to the designer. You know your business, we know design!
In most cases the graphic design brief is shorter as compared to the website design brief, the reason being the website design has more content and is more complex.
